In the cities (regions) where the epidemic control policy exists, the production and transportation of electrolytic aluminum enterprises have been investigated, with the following breakdown.

Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region: According to the research, local enterprises strictly cooperate with the control policy, production has no impact. But aluminum ingot steam transport is affected; affected by seasonal transport of fruits and vegetables, the container for railroad transport is less, it can be pick up in the early stage but slow. And now Henan Gongyi station controlled by the road closure management; loading was suspended from October 9 to 14 (except for anti-epidemic materials), thus the Xinjiang shipment has been affected.

Henan Province: Luoyang City, was implemented static management. Enterprise raw material transportation was not affected, and personnel were arranged in advance to go on duty at highway intersections.

Gansu Province: electrolytic aluminum enterprise location has lifted the state of silence, but the control management will continue until the end of the month, production are proceed normally, the railway line can be shipped too, the downstream processing temporarily has no reduction in production.

Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region: Baotou and Erdos are still in the silent period. In Baotou, the railroad transportation is not affected, but the downstream aluminum rod processing plant is affected by the epidemic and other factors, the production was restricted, the amount of ingots cast in the electrolytic aluminum plant is expected to increase; in Erdos, the shipment of goods is not smooth for the time being. Raw material inventory of enterprises is sufficient. However, it is expected to have an impact on the production schedule of the newly completed production capacity which originally planned to be put into operation locally. Due to the seriousness of the epidemic, the shipment in the region of Huolin River is affected and is not smooth for the time being.

In summary, the current epidemic control policies doesn’t have so much impact on the electrolytic aluminum smelter production and railroad transport, but the steam transport efficiency has decreased; some areas around the smelter aluminum processing plant are influenced by the epidemic and consumption and other factors, there is control of production, is expected to increase the smelter ingot casting volume.
